Everyone is welcome at our local garden club. You do not need to be an expert, just interested in gardening and in mixing with a group who enjoy a range of activities. Men and women are members, it is not just a ladies group.
Visitors are welcome at no charge and you even get a free cup of tea or coffee. There is no obligation to join at your first visit. New residents are especially welcome and will benefit from advice from locals about gardening in this area. We always welcome new members.
If you do join the club then for an annual fee of only $10 you get:
11 Meetings a year with guest speakers on a range of topics
A Monthly newsletter
Access to our trading table for plant bargains
The opportunity to participate in bus trips
An annual Christmas dinner partly subsidised by the club.
To assist with raising funds for the club there is a raffle at each meeting.
The meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month (except December) in the Wallaroo Town Hall. Look for notices of meetings in the Yorke Peninsula Country Times or ring Cynthia 0488 252 174 or Mike 0447 774 311.
So why not come along to a meeting and see if you like it?
