Yorke Peninsula Regional Alliance Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2026 -2030

The Councils of Barunga West, Copper Coast and Yorke Peninsula (Alliance Councils) are committed to creating accessible communities, where everyone can participate and feel included in all aspects of community life. Following a collaborative process with our communities, the Alliance Councils have officially endorsed the Yorke Peninsula Regional Alliance Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2026 -2030 (DAIP). Our DAIP outlines what we will do between 2026 and 2030 to improve access and inclusion across the region and aligns with the South Australian Disability Inclusion Plan 2025–2029.

Beach Wheelchairs for Hire

The Copper Coast Council has beach wheelchairs available to the public.

These chairs are suitable for all ages and can be used on the beach and in shallow water.

They are not self propelled, so will require another person to push, however with their design for beach use and large inflated tyres they are easily maneuvered in beach conditions.
