Online Event Application Forms

Online Event Application Forms

Depending on the size and nature of the event you wish to stage, you may need to apply for event approval.

If you wish to organise a small, large or major event in the Copper Coast, you will be required to submit an event application.

To submit an online event application please click below at the associated link.
You will be redirected to an external site to complete your submission.

Your application form must be submitted 3 weeks before the intended activity/event. We try to support all request, however in some instances the proposed activity may not be deemed appropriate and therefore may not be approved.

Private Events

Private events do not require event approval. Small, large and major events all require event approval. Different rules apply to these events and it is essential you are aware of all of them before you start planning.

A private event meets the following requirements:

  • Has an approximate attendance of 30 people or less
  • Has no/ or minimal infrastructure
  • Examples of small private events may include a birthday party or social club gathering.

If you are unsure whether your event qualifies as a private event, please contact the events team.

Major Event Permit Application

  • Events on community land under Council care and control that involve more than 200 people.
  • Events on community land under Council care and control that involve an admission fee being charged, alcohol being sold or that run for more than one day.

Minor Event Permit Application

  • Events on community land under Council care and control that involve more than 30 people.
  • Events on community land under Council car and control that involve the use of a structure or building (e.g. Victoria Square Rotunda).

Event Support Request Form

The Copper Coast Council can provide support and development opportunities to event organisers to enable them to deliver safe and successful events with beneficial community and economic outcomes.

Why a permit

By submitting an event application, we can ensure that your event complies with the relevant legislation and regulation, and is undertaken in a compliant safe manner. It also allows the event organiser to secure the space and clarifies the responsibilities and liabilities of all parties.

It is strongly advised that you contact the Events Team, before you start planning your event to ensure that there are no other larger scale event bookings or maintenance works happening in the venue that you are planning on using.
