If multiple ratepayers have registered for EzyBill and provided a current email address, they should all receive a copy of the rates notice to their nominated email address.

Will I still get a paper rates notice in my letterbox?

I have just sold my house. Will I still be able to view previous digital rates notices?

No, we recommend that you download copies of your rates notices before final property settlement. I haven’t received my rates notice email. Could I have entered the wrong email address? Maybe! First check your spam or junk folder and make sure you have added noreply@cityofpae.ezybill.com.au as a safe sender in your address book.

You should receive an email from EzyBill on completion of your registration for EzyBill digital rates notices. If you didn’t receive this, please check you have entered a valid email address when you registered for EzyBill. You can contact us by email at info@coppercoast.sa.gov.au or phone (08) 88281200 (Option 4) during business hours for assistance.

I haven’t received my rates notice email for the current quarter. What has happened?

You will only receive a rate notice if you have an outstanding balance. If you have paid your rates balance in full, you will not receive rates notices for any subsequent quarters in the financial year. If you have an outstanding balance, and haven’t received a notice, please contact us by email at info@coppercoast.sa.gov.au or phone (08) 88281200 (Option 4) during business hours.

What happens if my emailed rate notice bounces back?

If the notice bounces back, EzyBill will cancel your registration, and a printed copy of your rates notices will be mailed out to the mailing address listed on our records. The due date will remain as the due date printed on the notice. Please ensure your email address is correct within EzyBill.

It is for this reason we ask that you please make sure Council has your current mailing address.

Change of Name

If you have changed your name due to marriage, change of business name, divorce, or change of name via Births Deaths and Marriages, you can advise us to update the name on your rate notice.  To change the existing name shown on your rate notice, you'll need to provide the appropriate documentation, such as:

  • Name Certificate
  • Marriage Certificate
  • Certificate of Business Registration.

Your Certificate of Title also needs to be updated if you have changed your name:

  • By marriage

  • Because of an alteration or correction
  • By reverting to a surnamed used before marriage.

Information can be located at Change your Name | Land Services SA.

Change of Ownership

A conveyancer, qualified agent or solicitor, must address change of ownership.

When ownership of a property changes, liability for payment of rates remains with the owner listed with the Council until a Change of Ownership advice is received.

Fines may apply if the Council does not receive notice from your agent or solicitor. All outstanding rates and charges must be paid in full at settlement.

Separation with No Change of Ownership

Council will not amend a property record due to separation of owners.

The billing address can be changed to the person accepting responsibility for the rates. However, both owners remain equally and severally responsible. This liability applies regardless of who is residing at the property, or any personal arrangements that may have been made.
