Long Term Financial Plan
In accordance with the Local Government Act 1999, Council is required to develop and adopt a Long Term Financial Plan for minimum period of ten (10) years.
The Long Term Financial Plan has played a significant role in Council improving its financial sustainability, increasing its commitment to maintaining its asset base, planning for major projects, and aligning resources to achieve its strategic plans.

Infrastructure and Asset Management Plan
Council maintains an Infrastructure and Asset Management Plan for infrastructure assets which include things like bridges, bus stops, Council buildings and paths.
Many of the assets are accessed by ratepayers and visitors and are long-lived. This means they need careful planning to maintain acceptable service.
This is part of our Asset Management lifecycle. It ensure sure Council commit through capital works and other major projects, in alignment with Council strategic plans and delivers maximum return on investment for ratepayers.

Strategic Plans
In accordance with the Local Government Act, the Strategic Plan is complemented by the Asset Management Plan and the Long Term Financial Plan and reflects the issues and needs of the community, to be delivered in partnership with others. It sets a vision for the district and identifies goals and objectives designed to highlight social, economic and environmental issues and challenges that affect us all, now and into the future.
