Mayor Roslyn Talbot

With 14 years Local Government experience, including the last five years serving as Mayor, Roslyn is a third-generation small business owner and an experienced former chair of Council’s Finance Committee. Roslyn believes ‘the core business of the council is implementing sustainable budget measures and planning well for future needs. I am an advocate for controlled development, and whilst I foresee a period of consolidation of near-completed major projects, I remain excited by the potential the Copper Coast offers as a vibrant, progressive region.’

Transparent decision making is vital to Mayor Talbot, and she is committed to excellence in communication to businesses, and members of the public. ‘My desire is to oversee a council that understands the need for a full explanation of how and why all decisions are reached.’

Mayor Talbot works with CEO Dylan Strong and other members of the Executive Team to continue delivering important outcomes for the Copper Coast, with a strong focus on collaboration and unification for the area. The overarching aim is to strive together, as one team towards a collective goal.
