Kerbside Collection Calendar
Council provides kerbside collections of all three waste stream:
- weekly for business
- fortnightly for residential.
The residential calendar for 2024 will be distributed with the January 2024 Copper Post with your rates notice, but can also be downloaded below.

Council has generated detailed maps showing the areas outlining each waste collection zones and the rural collection points (for the properties outside of the townships):

Waste Events – Free Kerbside Giveaway
Copper Coast Council does not have a Hard Refuse Collection, as ‘one mans waste can be one mans treasure’.
Therefore each year, Council will hold a Free Kerbside Giveaway event, which will be advertise in the YPCT and promoted on Facebook and on My Local Services App.

Residents are entitled to place any unwanted items on the kerbside for free collection by members of the public to encourage repurposing items that would normally end up in landfill. The unwanted items must be placed in such a way that it does not obstruct pedestrian movement. Any items not claimed must be removed from the kerbside within twenty-four (24) hours and disposed of at the resident’s expense.
The Free Kerbside Giveaway event will be run in conjunction with Paintback collection on the Saturday also.
