FREE DIABETES SCREENING EVENT
A FREE type 2 diabetes screening event is coming to the Wallaroo Town Hall on Thursday May 6 (9.30am-4pm).
One in six adults are at risk of type 2 diabetes – could it be you?
Funded by Country SA PHN, their last two country events found 78% of people who took the test scored higher than 12, which is deemed high risk!
Diabetes is one of Australia’s and our state’s most serious and costly chronic health conditions.
With more than 1.4 million people in Australia are living with diabetes and a further 500,000 estimated to have undiagnosed diabetes, the time to act is now!
The events aim to raise awareness of the signs, symptoms, and risk factors of type 2 diabetes. They also provide everyone with an opportunity to be screened free of charge and receive information and tips on how to lower their risk for type 2 diabetes.
