PUBLIC CONSULTATION – KADINA CARAVAN PARK LEASE EXTENSION PROPOSAL
Copper Coast Council is seeking comments from the Public regarding a proposal received for a Lease extension for the Kadina Caravan Park. The land is Crown Land located at Lindsay Terrace, Kadina (Part Section 1713 HD of Wallaroo) and Copper Coast Council is the Custodian.
An overview of the proposal is as follows:
The Lessee is seeking to extend their existing lease term for a further four (4) additional rights of renewal of five (5) years each to commence on 1 January 2022 and ultimately expiring on 31 December 2047 if all options are exercised. Since acquiring the Kadina Caravan Park in 2014, the Lessee has been committed to the community it creates and making improvements, which have included:-
- Refurbishment of cabins inside and out;
- Part refurbishment of amenities block including new toilets/shower heads/taps/disability rails and painting;
- Upgrade of BBQ area with new paving, seating and surroundings;
- Painting of all outside buildings;
- Landscaping of all areas of Park including powered sites, 2 new grassed areas and front entrance;
- Installment of security system covering 75% of park for the safety of the residents;
- Repaving all the pathways in the Park;
- Creation of Visitors carpark;
- Creation of six new sites for residential and tourist usage; and
- Maintenance of all grounds to an impeccable standard.
