Moonta Mines Precinct Conservation Management Plan in action

MOONTA MINES WORKS UNDERWAY

The Moonta Mines Precinct Conservation Management Plan is finally being put into action as works commenced today on the Hughes Pumphouse.

In the short-term, this site has been fenced off to the public and will be closed off for about a week.

However, in the long-term visitors will experience minimal closures at this site and future sites as the Project Teams plan to make these works safe for the community to still have access while being undertaken.

We are working with the National Trust of South Australia and its Moonta Branch on this $4.8M Federal Government funded project aimed to restore, conserve and build new experiences for this Heritage Place.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.
