GEORGE STREET WOMBAT CROSSING
In order to create a raised asphalt crossing on George Street (in front of Drakes Moonta), the road has been temporary closed between Blanche Terrace and Ellen Street.
Pedestrians still have access to this area of George Street, however, we are sorry for any inconvenience this closure has caused.
The road will be reopened on Thursday, 20 May 2021 and will not impact the Kernewek Lowender- Copper Coast Cornish Festival's upcoming Drakes Supermarkets Moonta Parade on Friday.
Once the festival is completed (17-23 May), contractors will return to complete the project with line-marking.
