FUNDING SECURED - LOCAL GOVERNMENT INFRASTRUCTURE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

We are pleased to announce Copper Coast Council has secured $2,614,431 as part of the State Government’s Local Government Infrastructure Partnership Program.

Stages 2 and 3 of the $4.6M Major Upgrade of Bay Road, Moonta has been approved for funding of $2,188,801.

The upgrade of this 2.2km road will not only improve access to one of the Yorke Peninsula’s most popular beaches—Moonta Bay—but create nearly 20 local construction jobs and add $8M to the region’s economy.

The additional $425,630 has been secured as part of Council’s Upgrade of Yorke Peninsula Regional Commodity and Freight Roads submission with the Barunga West and Yorke Peninsula Councils.

Copper Coast Council will put the funding towards our Verran Terrace/Arthurton Road ($350,080) and Agery/Kadina-Cunliffe Road ($599,550) upgrade projects.

This is part of Copper Coast Council’s commitment to improving rural roads for our residents and tourists.

We thank the State Government for their contributions—this would not be possible without their assistance.
