BAY ROAD CLOSURE
Next Tuesday, 5 October 2021, Bay Road (between Coast Road and Tossell Street) will be temporarily closed (local traffic only).
The current road closure between Hughes Avenue and Kitto Road will be removed next week as contractors focus on this new area of road for approximately three weeks.
The section of road between Coast Road and Hughes Avenue will still remain closed during this time, but the Bay Road/Coast Road intersection will be remain open for those travelling along Coast Road.
After these works are completed, contractors will move back between Coast and Kitto Road, where new resources will have arrived to continue working on this area of road.
Council will endeavour to continue providing the latest updates regarding Bay Road closures, however, the nature of the project and resources means contractors may need to move to any part of Bay Road at any time.
Please expect delays if you are planning on travelling on Bay Road while this Major Upgrade is in progress.
