Confidential Items Register

At times, Council will exercise our power to consider matters in confidence due to the nature of a particular item.  When Council considers and retains a matter, minutes and/or documents in confidence, a register of these items must be kept.

The register will include information such as why the item was considered in confidence and whether it was or has been released to the public at a later date.

Section 91(9) of the Local Government Act 1999 (the Act) requires that any confidential order made by council under Section 91(7) and (9) of the Act must be reviewed at least once in every year.
