Public Consultation - Draft Polgreen Park Masterplan

PUBLIC CONSULTATION - DRAFT POLGREEN PARK MASTERPLAN

Council is seeking feedback from the community regarding the draft Polgreen Park Masterplan.

Following Public Consultation on Queen Square last year, a number of comments were received suggesting the main playground should be at Polgreen Park. Council has also received comments on the need for new toilet facilities at Polgreen Park.

Representatives from Moonta Lions Club and Moonta and District Progress Association have been working with Council for a Masterplan for the redevelopment of the Park. Part of this has included the installation of the new maze, which was partly funded by a Community Grant from Council, and basketball hoop/small concrete pad.

Council is committed to developing and enhancing the Moonta/Moonta Bay are, with recent projects including Bay Road, Moonta Dog Park and the upcoming George Street Stormwater upgrade.

The draft Masterplan for the redevelopment of Polgreen Park includes:

  • Vintage Playscape
  • Lawn
  • Natureplay Junior and Natureplay Senior
  • Sensory Garden/Hide & Seek Arena
  • Maze
  • BMX Bike Path
  • Bike Path
  • Reformatted Car Park and New Car Park
  • New Public Toilets
  • Renovation of existing building
  • Additional lighting and irrigation

Members of the public are invited to view the draft Polgreen Park Masterplan, and if you have any feedback, please fill out our Public Comment Submission Form and submit it to:
