Founded in 2011 to support the recovery of breast cancer survivors, Copper Coast Battle Dragons Boat Club has evolved to include men and women across all ages, embracing survivors and supporters of Breast Cancer. We support the development of mental and physical health of our members through safe non-contact team sport. Dragon Boating improves cardiovascular fitness, core strength, shoulder and back muscles and it is a true team sport for a broad range of fitness levels and age groups. Our main club involvements include training/ paddling 3 times a week all year round, weather permitting. We are very active in ongoing fundraising, sponsorship activities and continual membership recruitment. We participate in competitions throughout the year and we host an annual competition event in our local marina, ‘The Wallaroo Marina Challenge’. Copper Coast Battle Dragons is a member group of Breast Cancer Network Australia Club Location: Copper Coast Battle Dragons Dragon Boat Club - Heritage Drive, Wallaroo SA 5556. Training: Monday, Thursday and Saturday Meet at the Club shed ‘Hutch’s Dream’ on Heritage Drive, Wallaroo half an hour prior to training. Training times on the water are approximatley 1 hour. Monday and Thursday: Meet at the Club House, Heritage Drive Wallaroo at 5:30pm and on the water at 6pm Saturday: All year - Meet at the Club House, Heritage Drive at 8.30am on the water at 9.00am We welcome new paddlers to come and try under the 'DragonPass' which entitles paddlers to 1 month's free paddling. Bring a friend or partner to keep you motivated or just come by yourself. Our team will get you inducted.
