$1Million Drought Relief Funding for Copper Coast Region

$1Million Drought Relief Funding for Copper Coast Region

29th May

Some much needed rain has made its way to the Copper Coast over the past few weeks, and we have received additional good news for our region.

The Copper Coast Council is very pleased to inform our community that we will be included in the 15 additional Council areas who will be allocated $1million as part of the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Program, looking to assist drought-stricken communities in building more resilient regions for future seasons.

Mayor Roslyn Talbot said “These funds will provide a much needed economic stimulus to our community and will enable us to get some projects completed that would have otherwise still been on the wish list.”

Council will be seeking further information on the conditions of the funding allocated, and will provide details to the community as they are available.
