Public Consultation - Proposal for Consideration of Revocation of Classification of Land as Community Land

PUBLIC CONSULTATION - PROPOSAL FOR CONSIDERATION OF REVOCATION OF CLASSIFICATION OF LAND AS COMMUNITY LAND

Notice is hereby given that the Copper Coast Council, pursuant to Section 194 of the Local Government Act 1999, seeks comment from the community on the proposal from the Copper Coast Lifestyle Village for the development of part of the land requiring the revocation of Section 2246, 23-39 Hills Road, North Moonta from the classification as community land.

The Copper Coast Lifestyle Village proposal has been revised after consultation with Copper Coast Lifestyle Village management, Village residents, nearby residents and Councillors.

The new proposal on part of the Crown Land is proposed to include 11 additional retirement units, an activity centre, a vegetable garden and a shed.

A public consultation process is being undertaken pursuant to Council’s Public Consultation Policy from 12th September 2022 to 10th October 2022.

To assist with the consultation process on the proposal received, a report on the land has been produced to be considered to be revoked and the reasons are available at the Kadina Council Office (during normal office hours) or online here.

PLEASE NOTE: The Copper Coast Lifestyle Village has requested this land for a development and it is State Government owned—Council does not receive any proceeds from the sale.
