COMMUNITY GARDENS IN MOONTA & WALLAROO
Copper Coast Council is seeking community feedback on a proposal for community gardens to be created in Moonta and Wallaroo.
A community garden is a plot of land used for growing a communal public garden, where people garden together. There are wide ranging benefits of community gardens for nutrition, health and community social interaction, which extend across all age groups, from young children to the elderly.
Public consultation is being undertaken pursuant to Council’s Public Consultation Policy from Tuesday, 16th May 2023 to Friday, 16th June 2023.
The community can have their say on the proposed community gardens by participating in our online survey. Physical copies are also available at the Wallaroo Library (5 John Terrace), Moonta Tourist Office (100m East of corner Ellen St and Blanch Tce), the Kadina Council Office (51 Taylor Street), or can be printed here. Physical copies can be filled out and returned via:
