PUBLIC CONSULTATION - MOONTA EARLY LEARNING CHILD CARE CENTRE SURVEY

Copper Coast Council is investigating whether there is a need for a Early Learning Child Care Facility in the Moonta/Moonta Bay area.

While Out of School Hours Care (OSHC), Kindergarten and some private Family Day Care providers exist, there are only two Child Care Centres in the Copper Coast – both located in Kadina and with waiting lists.

Council wishes to survey members of the public via a Public Consultation survey to ascertain whether an Early Learning Child Care Facility in the Moonta/Moonta Bay area is needed.

“We encourage all parents who lives on the Copper Coast, and those in surrounding regions, who would consider utilising these services to participate in the survey so we can get an understanding on specific requirements for an early learning child care such as ages, times and numbers,” Mayor Roslyn Talbot said.

The Moonta Early Learning Child Care Survey is now available online or you can access the printable version.

Physical copies of the survey are also accessible at the Kadina Council Office and Moonta Tourist Office.

If opting to fill out a printable or physical copy of the survey, these can be submitted to Council via:

Mail: Chief Executive Officer, Copper Coast Council, PO Box 396, KADINA SA 5554

OR

E-mail: info@coppercoast.sa.gov.au

OR

In-person: Kadina Council Office - 51 Taylor Street, Kadina SA 5554 or Moonta Tourist Office
- corner Ellen St and Blanch Tce, Moonta 5558 SA

Any feedback must be received by 4pm Friday, 22 July 2022.

The results of the survey will be provided to Council, from which Elected Members will be able to ascertain whether a Child Care Facility in the Moonta/Moonta Bay area is needed and decide Council’s next actions to progress a possible facility.
