A development approval must be obtained prior to demolition and removal of any building. This includes demolition of complete or partial removal of any building, structure, swimming pools and spas that required Council's approval initally to erect.
A demolition application form is required to be completed.
When completing your application the following must be addressed:
description of the demolition procedure, including details of the measures to be taken to provide satisfactory levels of safety on or around the site.
method used to suppress dust. contain mud, dirt and debris on site.
identification of hazardous materials on site, including asbestos and the method of removal and transportation from the site.
waste control systems must be desludged, removed and the site rehabilitated. and requires an inspection prior to back filling, please contact Council's Environmental Officer to arrange an appointment.
