DRAFT CEMETERY MANAGEMENT PLANS - PUBLIC CONSULTATION

Council is seeking public comment on the draft Cemetery Management Plans for the Copper Coast, Greens Plains, Kadina, Moonta and Wallaroo.

Council allocated $75,000 from the Federal Government Drought Communities Programme - Extension, $57,000 from Round 2, $80,000 from the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Projects (Phase 2) and received $5,000 from SA Heritage Grants Program for the restoration of the cemeteries of Kadina and Moonta, and for the production of Cemetery Management Plans. The plans cost $21,580 following a tender process.

Members of the Council Cemeteries Working Party contracted Changing Places and have been working together to produce these draft Cemetery Management Plans. The plans will help to preserve and develop our cemeteries for the future.
