




Kadina Library holds an extensive collection of material relating to the history of Yorke Peninsula. People interested in genealogy research will find many tools available to assist with their research. Access is available free of charge during normal library hours.
The Yorke Peninsula Family History Group are housed within the Centre and are available to help with research enquiries -
Tuesdays 10.00 am - 12 noon
Wednesdays 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm

- Book Bugs Storytime for preschoolers.
- Rhythm & Rhyme Time - from birth to 5 years old.
- School Holiday Activities - Range of activities suitable for children aged from 4 to 12.
Toy Library
The Toy Library has an extensive collection of toys and puzzles to cater for the early learning and play needs of preschool aged children.
It is now open the same time as the general library. You can borrow 2 toys and 1 puzzle for a 3 week period.
Free Home Delivery Service
The Kadina Library provides a free books-on-wheels delivery service to Kadina and Wallaroo housebound residents who are physically unable to visit the library.
E-Books
The Copper Coast libraries have technologies available for you to borrow and try. Kadina/Wallaroo have Kindles and E-readers available for a 3 week loan. The e-readers have adjustable font sizes and are speech enabled to assist those with challenged eyesight. They have a mixture of new release and recent titles from a range of genres already installed for you to enjoy.
2013 will also see the launch of an e-book library service. If you already own an e-reader you have had to source your own e-books, however now you will be able to access a library catalogue of titles and borrow an e-book for a specified period of time. Please visit the library and ask the staff who will be happy to assist with access to this fantastic initiative provided through the SA Library Network.

First Tuesday Book Club
Held the first Tuesday of the month - Please contact the library for further info.
This allows anyone to bring their own laptop (fitted with wireless capability) to the library and get free internet access on that laptop. Users simply need to register once and then are able to use the service at Kadina and Wallaroo and any other wireless library sites in South Australia.

World Book Online for Kids has been developed especially for young public library patrons. The site offers easy-to-read articles and a wealth of engaging multimedia, games, science projects, interactive tools, and activities. Text-to-speech capabilities and translation into 30 languages included.
World Book Online Info Finder contains content and features designed for school-aged patrons' homework and research needs. Based on the World Book Encyclopedia, the site features rich collections of multimedia on a variety of topics, science fair projects; a Biography Centre; links to world newspapers, correlations to curriculum standards, 21st century research guides, and much more. World Book Discover, for differentiated instruction, includes reference articles, text-to-speech capabilities, translation into 30 languages, learning and life skills activities, research tools, multimedia, and interactive video.
PressDisplay gives access to more than 1000 newspapers from 82 countries in 39 languages and is now available to you from the library or from home.
The papers are available on the day they are published and are displayed exactly as they appear in print, and kept on the database for 90 days.
There is a keyword search facility and easy-to-use navigation tools. You can even have an article read to you or translated into one of ten major languages!
