The Elder Friendly Community Project which began in the Copper Coast in 2007, has now officially drawn to a close. The project was fortunate to be funded through the Office for Ageing, Department for Families and Communities.
The project consisted of Stage 1 and Stage 2, which was a collaborative partnership with the University of South Australia and the District Council of Yorke Peninsula. The District Council of the Copper Coast was fortunate to receive a third round of funding after these partnerships ceased, to further the project outcomes and continue to support the existing initiatives within the community. This has now finished.
The Kadina Elder Friendly group however continues to meet on the second Wednesday of the month at 1:30pm at the Kadina Town Hall and always welcomes new members, aged 65+. For more information contact Greg O’Connor on (08)88281200.
