Art Galleries

There are 2 Council owned Art Galleries on the Copper Coast.
The Ascot Building is located in Kadina's main street. The cultural centre serves the Copper Coast community with performing and visual art activities. The art gallery features artworks acquired through the Cornish Festival Art competitions and hosts many travelling exhibitions.
A lift services the second floor allowing people with disabilities to experience live performances in the theatre styled facility.
It is in close proximity to many community services and food outlets.
There is a community lounge with daily newspapers open 10am-4.30pm weekdays, and Saturday mornings from 9.30am-11.30am.

Ascot Theatre Kadina

The Moonta Gallery of the Arts is situated in Moonta's main street, inside the town hall. Featuring a variety of different exhibitions throughout the year, on a monthly rotation. There is guaranteed to be something for everyone's artistic tastes, and being located in the main street it is within walking distance of a wide variety of cafes and food outlets. Besides the two Council owned galleries there are a variety of smaller privately owned galleries also on the Copper Coast

Chatswood Art Studio

Artist in Residence - Pat Brereton

Artist in residence Pat Brereton works in watercolour, pastel and other mediums. Drop in for a good old fashioned chat and cuppa with Pat and Colin. The studio is filled with beautiful pieces of artwork and Pat also specialises in framing her paintings.

Picturesque Framing and Gallery

Kadina's own Gallery of fine artwork by artists who live on the Yorke Peninsula

The gallery boasts a range of artwork to suit all tastes and decor. From grand to petite; oils, acrylic, pastels and watercolours. Notable, award winning artists' works on show.

As well, there are many unframed artworks and photos which make wonderful gifts, great for travellers or just to store away to frame and show another day.

 The gallery stocks an exstensive range of Art Spectrum paints, pastels, brushes, canvas, pencils, paper, mediums, easels and many other art needs. As well as having gift ideas and starter kits for those keen to have a go.

 The custom framing service is done to the highest of professional standards. All materials and methods used are of conservation quality and the proprietors, Ray and Ros Woodfield, can recommend archival materials for all works of value. They also cater to those wanting their old pictures and frames restored or reframed, even gold leaf gilded.

 You are welcome to come and visit the working gallery.

NYP ART GROUP AT MOONTA - ALL WELCOME!

NYP Art Group is a visual art group based at Moonta who meet every Tuesday from 10am to 1pm at Moonta in the Uniting Church Art Room. They run workshops, hold exhibitions, run a gallery at Moonta Town Hall on long weekends and even have art camps! Members range from experienced professionals to beginners and use a variety of mediums. Interested in joining the group? Call Phil Joy on 8825 1551 or Barbara Basham on 8825 1199. Visitors are most welcome to visit, see the artists at work and join them for a chat and a hot cuppa.

Henriette's Art Studio and Gallery

Henriette has been painting for nine years using acrylics, pastels or oils and specialises in Outdoor Art on metal for patios or entertainment areas.

Henriette has been painting for over ten years using acrylics, pastels or oils and specialises in Outdoor Art on metal for patios or entertainment areas.

Her work is on display at the Moonta Doctors' Surgery and the Queen Square Art Gallery .

Henriette has won several prizes at shows and Exhibitions.  Her painting 'Mother Theresa' was one of 12 chosen from an exhibition in Port Pirie to travel South Australia.
