Moonta, Moonta Bay & Pt Hughes

Background

On 19th January 2005 Council appointed Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR) for the purpose of designing, calling tenders and supervising the construction of a Community Wastewater Management Scheme (CWMS) for Moonta, Moonta Bay and Port Hughes.

As a result of the meeting on 5th March 2008 KBR were released from this contract and replaced with a consortium of consultants in conjunction with the LGA consisting of Tonkins, Wallbridge and Gilbert and HDS to complete the design and documentation of the Moonta, Moonta Bay and Port Hughes CWMS.

Public Consultation

The Council has undertaken Public Consultation in relation to the Moonta, Moonta Bay and Port Hughes CWMS as required under the Local Government Act 1999, to ensure the community was aware of what is occuring. The District Council of the Copper Coast has undertaken the following:

Temporary Road Closures - Moonta Bay & Port Hughes

The District Council of the Copper Coast and CME Civil would like to advise the roads between Rossiters Road, Simms Cove Road and Coast Road Moonta Bay (as per the attached map) including Trelawney Street, Tipara Court, Gulf Street, Queens Place, Francis Place, Plymouth Street, Moontana Street and Moontana Avenue will incur temporary road closures. This is due to construction works on the Community Wastewater Management Scheme (CWMS). The roads will remain open to local traffic only. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

3. Stage One Design Drawings

The stage 1 designs have now been completed and are available for viewing. Please view the overview plan first as this will assist you with locating your property on the actual design plans C02 – C09. There are two sets of design plans. The set with photos are much larger files and will take longer to download.
